Just the Basics

This is a basic all-purpose soil, and our most economical, too. With 50% black soil and 50% peat, it retains moisture well, and is great for laying under sod. It is not as heavy as our 75/25 mix, and therefore easier to work with.

Most people prefer our 4-Way Mix when working with vegetable and flower gardens, thanks to its compost and sand content, and their benefits. However, if you’re simply hoping to get the job done and save a little too, you’ll appreciate our 50/50 Mix.
